ABOUT US

Rabbi Yossi and Mushka Greenberg grew up in Brooklyn, NY. Rabbi Yossi graduated from the Central Lubavitch Yeshivah, and has spent much time in outreach, caring and volunteering for Jewish causes. Mushka is a graduate of Beth Chana Teacher’s Seminary in Israel, and is a preschool teacher by trade. Their love for every Jew is what drives them to follow the directives of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, and open up a Chabad Educational Center at Miami University in Ohio. Akiva, Levi, Yocheved and Schneur Zalman love meeting new people and greeting them with their infectious smiles.

What is Chabad on Campus? Chabad on Campus is a home-away-from home for tens of thousands of Jewish Students. More than 250 campuses are served by Chabad Jewish Educational Student Centers.

The heart of Jewish student life! Chabad anticipates and serves the needs of students on a social, educational and spiritual level. At Chabad, all students are welcome, regardless of background, affiliation, and level of observance. Every student becomes part of the Jewish community. Every Jew is family.

Education: Chabad has an incredible lineup of weekly and daily stimulating and satiating classes to offer students. Bringing Judaism alive and relevant to the twenty first century college student.

Leadership: At Chabad clubs on dozens of campuses, students are invited to take leadership roles in their campus communities, helping foster the creation of the next generation of empowered Jewish leadership.

Community: We believe that family and community are vital keys to character building. That’s why we open our home to students, helping inspire them with a respect for family values and a deep meaningful concern for the people and the land of Israel.

Inspiration: Chabad on Campus is inspired by The Lubavitcher Rebbe, whose unconditional love to people knew no bounds. To the Rebbe they all belonged. He made them feel at home. The Rebbe's warm smile would heal every aching heart. The Rebbe was always there, offering counsel and blessings, comfort and hope, and often, material help as well.

About: About Us

MISSION STATEMENT

Chabad at Miami University is dedicated to providing every student regardless of background, philosophy or level of commitment, an open door environment for strengthening and enhancing Jewish life on campus. Chabad serves individuals looking for an anchor and non-judgmental, accepting, personalized Jewish experience.

THE REBBE

It was characteristic of the Rebbe to translate ideas into reality. Along with being a visionary with a global perspective, and a leader who inspired his audience to become partners to his vision – the Rebbe called for concrete action, and set in place practical programs that would accomplished the objective.

FAQ

Q: But I am not religious AT ALL, can I still come?
A: Absolutely! At Chabad we encourage everyone to leave their labels by the door. You don't have to be religious in order to be Jewish and you don't have to be Jewish to be a good person. That's that.
